Scrabble Fest Tournament - A Huge Success!
From late January through early March, gracious hosts invited guests into their homes to play a few games of Scrabble and donate to the programming and services to our organization. We are pleased to announce that ScrabbleFest 2009 raised over $17,000 – the most in our four year history! Our final event which was held on March 7th would not have been possible without your support, along with that of our first time event Presenting Sponsor, Time Warner Cable. Receiving top awards during the March 7th event were:
Public Tournament Winner:
Galen Brokaw (Two-Time Champion!)
House Party Tournament Winner: Randy Greenspan
Most Dollars Raised by a Party Host: Jeff & Shelley Hirshberg
Most Dollars Raised by an Individual Player: Valerie Geraci

We also had a dedicated group of ScrabbleFest committee members that helped put together this year’s outstanding event.
