Through Literacy Volunteers "English on the Job" program, employees acquire the skills to enhance their job performance and organizational communication. Certified expert tutors utilize a student centered curriculum of instruction to teach English toward company goals and individual abilities.
Through participation, students improve their English proficiency across all areas. Specifically, after completing this program students will:
• Demonstrate a larger vocabulary and higher proficiency with improved English comprehension.
• Increase understanding of idioms and slang used in American society.
• Develop language, cultural and educational skills that assist with daily living in their personal and professional lives within the community.
• Gain comfort using English in social and business settings.
Program Highlights
• A flexible schedule allows employers to select the optimal training time for your organization
• Tutoring sessions can take place on site, at one of our career centers or other convenient locations: it’s all up to you.
• Informational workshops on special topics of relevance will be offered periodically to augment tutoring sessions.
• A distance learning component is offered for additional assistance. Students can enhance their learning by participating from home.

Instructions for saving/printing PDFs from a PC:
Open the files by "right-clicking" on them (with the right button on your mouse) and choosing "Save Target as....". Save the file to your harddrive. Open the files with Acrobat Reader and "print" it like any other document.
Instructions for saving/printing PDFs from on a Mac:
If you have Acrobat Reader set as the default in your browser preferences it should just launch the plug-in and open in your browser window after clicking on them. Print them as you would any other document. Or you can click on the files and hold down the mouse button until the menu of options pops up. Choose "Save this link as...." and download the file to your harddrive. Open in Acrobat Reader and print it.
